Opening Nexlet on Mac for the first time

The current macOS build is not notarized by Apple. Once you have confirmed that your download comes from the official Nexlet GitHub Releases, follow these steps.

  1. Drag Nexlet from the DMG into the Applications folder.
  2. Open Nexlet from Applications. If macOS says Apple could not verify Nexlet, click Done.
  3. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll down to the notice about Nexlet and click Open Anyway.
  4. Authenticate with your password or Touch ID when prompted, then confirm Open.

No Open Anyway button? Try opening Nexlet again, then return to this settings page.

    Run directly on Windows; drag to Applications on macOS.

    Open Nexlet

    Default: Alt + Space. Change it in Settings.

    Enter a name, keyword or calculation.

Frequently asked questions

What if the shortcut is already in use?

Choose another shortcut in Settings, such as Ctrl + Alt + Space。

Why does macOS need Accessibility permission?

Automatic paste requires Accessibility permission. You can still copy and paste manually without it.

What are the preview limitations?

Windows packages are unsigned and macOS packages are not notarized, so security prompts may appear. Minimum OS versions have not been fully verified.

How can I verify the download?

Packages come from the official Nexlet GitHub Releases. Verify them against the SHA-256 checksums.
